Indulge your appetite with a royal feast served from a medieval pavilion-style tent. Your taste buds will sing with seasoned pork bratwurst, loaded baked potatoes and either buttered or chili-lime corn on the cob.

Touring Tips

  • Bratwurst and knockwurst with peppers and onions or sauer-kraut; top-your-own baked potatoes, sweet corn on the cob, and ice-cream sandwiches.
  • Built as a concession stand for the adjoining Fantasyland theatre, the former Enchanted Cottage (now Troubadour Tavern) is overwhelmed during shows but often overlooked the rest of the day.
  • Formerly Troubador Treats and Enchanted Cottage Sweets and Treats, this location has maintained a similar, Bavarian-themed menu throughout with some additions and changes. The main entrees are bratwurst and stuffed potatoes, but the former selection of cakes and pastries has disappeared, leaving mainly ice cream novelties for dessert.
  • No dedicated seating, but you can take food into theater.

History

This fast-food counter location first opened on June 19, 1985, under the name Yumz and provided food for those visiting Videopolis which opened at the same time. In 1995 Videopolis was refurbished and it became the Fantasyland Theater. The first show hosted in that theater was The Spirit of Pocahontas and accordingly, on June 23, 1995, Yumz was renamed Meeko's. That name lasted until the close of the Pocahontas show on September 5, 1997. For the next several years various shows played in the theater and in 1998 Meeko's finally reopened as Troubador Treats before closing in 2004 to reopen as Enchanted Cottage Sweets and Treats to accompany the Snow White-An Enchanting Musical stage show.

When the Snow White show went permanently dark in September 2006, Enchanted Cottage closed for a month with the theater but remained essentially unchanged when the theater reopened with Disney Princess Fantasy Faire. The location was formerly sponsored by Nestle Ice Cream.
