Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort Cabins

Walt Disney World

The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort provide an idyllic setting for a family vacation. Nestled on 750 wooded acres of lush pine and cypress trees, the cabins provide all the comforts of home wrapped in a rustic, American Frontier theme. Time seems to slow down while you wander the quiet trails, and roaming ducks, deer and rabbits add to the sense that you are far away from the bustle of modern civilization. Due to the sprawling size of the Resort, consider renting a golf cart for additional ease when exploring the many amenities and activities available to Resort Guests.

You'll find lots to do within the Resort's spacious grounds. Seasonally, be sure to catch Mickey's Backyard BBQ Character Dining at the Fort Wilderness Pavilion. Explore the "backcountry" aboard a Segway personal transporter or stroll over to the Tri-Circle-D Ranch for carriage, wagon or horseback rides, or for younger Guests, pony rides. Nearby are Trail's End Restaurant and Crockett's Tavern—and the very popular Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue dinner show. For fun on the water, the marina at Bay Lake rents SeaRaycers, pontoon boats and other watercraft, and offers catch-and-release fishing expeditions.

Meadow Recreation Area's outdoor theater is home to the nightly Chip 'n' Dale "Sing-a-Long" and marshmallow roast, followed by a screening of a classic Disney movie. Other diversions abound as well: trails, tennis, volleyball, swimming, horseshoes, shuffleboard and archery—you can even rent bicycles at the Bike Barn. Grab essentials at the Resort's trading posts or a bite to eat at the deli.

Go for a dip at Meadow Swimmin' Pool or Wilderness Swimmin' Pool, serenely situated among towering trees. Ask a Cast Member about planned pool activities for children. Be sure to try out the water slide and hot tub at the Meadow Swimmin' Hole!
