Disney's All-Star Movies Resort

Walt Disney World

Disney's All-Star Movies Resort is a Disney Value Resort hotel featuring giant icons that salute classic Disney films—including Disney·Pixar's Toy Story, Fantasia, The Love Bug, The Mighty Ducks and One Hundred and One Dalmatians. The resort is located on the southern portion of the Walt Disney World property, and has a Disney Movie theme. Like all Disney Value resorts, the property is decorated with giant Disney film icons such as the Fantasia Pool; a "Mighty Ducks" themed Duck Pond Pool; Herbie, The Love Bug, puppies from "Disney's One Hundred and One Dalmatians" and some of the residents of Andy's Room from Disney's Toy Story. Like the other value resorts, the All-Star Movies has a large food court and poolside bar.

Guest rooms are divided into 5 pairs of 3-story buildings—each pair themed after one of the featured movies. For example, the Toy Story section features a 27-foot-tall bucket of Green Army Men, a 30-foot-tall Woody icon and a 47-foot-tall Buzz Lightyear icon. The buildings are painted in bright colors and covered with playful details and hidden surprises.

The Resort's central building is named Cinema Hall, and the facility includes the Main Lobby check-in desk, the World Premiere food court, the Donald's Double Feature shop and the Reel Fun Arcade. Disney's All-Star Movies Resort has 2 swimming pools—the main Sorcerer's Apprentice-themed Fantasia Pool and the smaller Duck Pond pool shaped like a hockey rink and inspired by The Mighty Ducks.

Fantasia, the main pool, is found between the Fantasia buildings and Cinema Hall. A large Sorcerer Mickey stands ready to work his magic at one end of the pool, where water sprays from his fingers. Between the Mighty Duck buildings, and not far from the 101 Dalmatians buildings, you will find the Duck Pond pool. This pool is hockey-themed with face-off circles painted on the bottom of the pool as well as on the deck, and with Goofy starring as the goalie. A kiddie pool is found beside the Fantasia pool. There are no slides or jacuzzis at either of these pools.

In Cinema Hall, the Reel Fun Arcade provides guests with state-of-the-art video games for their enjoyment. Open from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m., the games utilize tokens that a guest can purchase in the arcade. Some of the games reward players with tickets that can be redeemed for prizes. Between the Toy Story buildings and Cinema Hall, you'll find the children's playground where the little ones can burn off some energy.

Rooms

The All Star Movies resort has 1,920 rooms. The rooms all feature a framed poster and border of the building’s movie theme. Each of the guest rooms has either 2 double beds or one king sized bed. Please note that the king bed rooms are handicap accessible. While they can be requested, guests with special needs are given first priority.

Each room has a beverage cooler, nightstand, telephone, small table with 2 chairs, armoire, television, wall mirror, clock radio and an open closet area with shelves on top for extra storage. A vanity area with a single sink and mirror is separate from the tub and commode. Film reel tiles surround the tub and shower curtains adorned with stars enclose the shower area. The light fixtures are shaped like popcorn boxes and star fixtures to further carry out the movie theme. A small key-operated wall safe is located in the closet area. All rooms are equipped with central air conditioning. Guests who need to connect to home or work via the Internet while vacationing will find a computer data port.

Buildings / Areas
  • Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 - Located close to the lobby building, the Fantasia area features the main pool, themed after the Sorcerer's Apprentice. A sculpture of Sorcerer Mickey on the rock shoots fountains of water into the pool below. To the left of the pool are the Fantasia 2000 buildings, decorated by characters from the Steadfast Tin Soldier and a kiddie pool featuring icebergs from Pines of Rome (originally featuring a sculpture of the baby whale as well). Behind the pool are sculptures of Donald and Daisy in their Pomp and Circumstance outfits. The right building, based on the original Fantasia, consists mostly of a Sorcerer's Apprentice theme with the Brooms and the Sorcerer's Hat.
  • Toy Story - To the left of the main building is a portion of the street with a large figure of RC. Going further in, the area is based on Andy's Room with sculptures of Bo Peep and Rex along with a giant checkerboard and portions of Andy's walls. The area is flanked by gigantic statues of Woody and Buzz Lightyear. The staircases are covered by Army Soldier buckets, with metal cutouts of the Army Men covering the building.
  • 101 Dalmatians - The buildings are decorated with cutouts of countless Dalmatian puppies, with large sculptures of Pongo and Perdita overlooking the area. There is also a photo opportunity with Lucky watching an empty television that guests can go behind. Large metal hydrants serve to hide the stairs.
  • The Mighty Ducks - Featuring the Duck Pond Pool, the massive mask icon of the team is attached to the building. Adjacent to the pool is a goal with Goofy in Goalie gear along with a large scoreboard. Large hockey sticks and pucks decorate the building.
  • The Love Bug - A large Herbie sticks out of the building, as well as a Winner's Circle area, a smaller-scale Herbie car and a 1st Place Trophy.
Dining
  • World Premiere Food Court - These 5 movie "marquees" feature fresh and quick food, from omelets to pasta, served in a setting that resembles a grand movie theater lobby.
