Glimpse the inside of a star's home! See how Mickey lives as you take a self-guided tour through his living and work spaces packed with artifacts from his daily life and brilliant career. Get ready to meet the most "famouse" star around - meet, greet and snap a photo with Mickey himself! Welcome to the home of a Disney legend. Explore this charming mouse house and find fantastic treasures like Mickey's baby shoes and photos of Mickey with his old pal Walt Disney.

Delight in the silly design details that celebrate all things Mickey. Grab a giggle at the bookshelf where the famous books have Mouse friendly titles like "Mice Station Zebra" and, of course, the "Random Mouse Dictionary." Behind the house might be the greatest treasure of all - Mickey's movie barn! Step inside, walk through the prop department and see costumes and props from some of his most famous cartoons.

Mickey's House sits beside Minnie's House on the far left side of Toontown. Although there's a staircase you see upon entering the house, you can't climb them. Check out Mickey's inviting living room including a special bed for his best friend, Pluto. Keeping things clean is a must as you'll discover Mickey's cleaning supplies. Winding your way through you'll come across his garden and a barn where Donald Duck and Goofy are not-so-professionally running the projector. The movie will keep you entertained as you wait to meet Mickey Mouse who might be filming one of 4 movies: Steamboat Willie, Fantasia, The Band Concert, and Thru the Mirror. Movies are subject to change.

Touring Tips

  • The hours for Mickey's Toontown vary and the land often closes before the rest of Disneyland Park, especially on nights when fireworks are presented. When you arrive at Disneyland Park, check the Entertainment Times Guide to learn the daily operational times for Mickey's House and Meet Mickey.
  • Meeting Mickey Mouse is a very popular thing to do so don't be surprised at having to wait more than 20 minutes to get through Mickey's House and meet the big cheese himself.
  • There's no time limit to your visit. There are lots of photo ops available, especially in the living room. Generally speaking, you won't wait in a line until you reach the barn. There's an exit back to Mickey's Toontown prior to the meet and greet line.
  • Guests are taken in to see Minnie in small groups. We suggest hanging back and letting the rest of your group take their photos first. By being last, you will get unrushed time alone with Minnie. There will be an official Disney photographer taking your picture but of course you may also use your own camera and the cast members will take your picture with your camera, too.
  • You can find Pluto, Donald Duck, Goofy, Minnie Mouse, and Chip and Dale making appearances around Toontown. They are most often found near The Gag Factory, and in between the Jolly Trolley and Goofy's Playhouse.
  • When you're done here you can head next door to Minnie's house for a similar experience.
  • Mickey's House is wheelchair and ECV accessible - there are no stairs in this attraction.
  • Restrooms are located in the center of Mickey's Toontown, beside Goofy's Gas Station.

Facts

  • Opened on January 24, 1993.
  • Pluto has a special dog door you'll see upon entering the house.
  • Mickey's radio actually works.

Hidden Mickeys

  • A Mickey shaped welcome mat, welcomes guests as they enter Mickey's house.
  • Mickey's front door has some familiar looking glass.
  • Mickey logos are hidden on the book spines in Mickey's house. There is a pink Hidden Mickey on the book titled "My Life With Walt". A Mouse Odyssey (the red book) in Mickey's bookcase features a yellow Hidden Mickey on the spine.
  • Mickey Mouse floats around as the subject in an unusual surrealist painting (hanging in Mickey's living room).
  • Mickey doodles on a memo pad on Mickey's desk.
  • There is a Mickey hidden in the metronome, on Mickey's piano.
  • The player piano sheet music roll in Mickey's piano is dotted with Hidden Mickeys. Look closely and find one Hidden Donald Duck.
  • The player piano in Mickey's House has one Hidden Donald mixed in with all the Hidden Mickeys.
  • Mickey's Passport should probably be hidden in a safer place, especially with all the identity theft going on. There are three travel stamps on the right, representing Disney Theme Parks around the world - Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, Disneyland in Toyko, Japan and Disneyland in Paris, France. A new stamp could be added to represent the newest Disneyland in Shanghai, China.
  • A Hidden Mickey countdown appears on the film screen in Mickey's house (meet Mickey queue).
  • After taking a quick tour of Mickey's house, guests are ushered into a small room where they finally get to meet the mouse that started it all. Mickey Mouse, dressed in his tuxedo, meets & greets guests to his home (the last room as you walk through Mickey's House). Behind Mickey, is a giant paintbrush, which is part of the photo backdrop. There is a Hidden Mickey painted onto the paintbrush handle, near the metal nib.
  • After taking a quick tour of Mickey's house, guests are ushered into a small room where they finally get to meet the mouse that started it all. Lucky guests will get to meet and take photos with Mickey, who is dressed as the Sorcerer's Apprentice. To find the Hidden Mickey, take a closer look at the starry night backdrop just behind Mickey. A tiny Classic Mickey is hidden amongst the stars painted onto the dark blue backdrop.
