Climb aboard a vintage vehicle for a ride back in time. Whether it's a fiery red fire engine, a horse-drawn carriage or one of those new fangled cars, there's nothing like the Main Street Vehicles for a one-way, turn-of-the-century trip.

All vehicles that are found on Main Street were designed to accurately reflect turn-of-the-century vehicles, including a double-decker bus, a horse-drawn streetcar, a fire engine, and an automobile. They are available for one-way rides along Main Street, U.S.A. The horseless carriages are modeled after cars built in 1903. They are two-cylinder, four-horsepower (3 kW) engines with manual transmission and steering. Walt Disney used to drive the fire engine around the park before it opened, on most mornings. It has also been used to host celebrity guests and used in the parades.

Fire Engine - This candy apple red fire engine is ready to rescue tired and hurried feet, and whisk them safely to the other end of Main Street, U.S.A. on a one-way trip. This little engine stops in Town Square and near Sleeping Beauty Castle in Central Plaza.

Horse-Drawn Streetcars - Hop on a glossy streetcar drawn by one of our barnyard beauties for a one-way trip down Main Street, U.S.A. This turn-of-the-century conveyance carries up to 30 passengers, picking up at Town Square and Sleeping Beauty Castle in Central Plaza.

Horseless Carriage - Ah-ooo-ga! This vintage, open-air car turns heads as it putters down Main Street, U.S.A. Meticulously modeled after authentic 1903 vehicles, all its horses are under the hood! Catch a one-way ride in Town Square or in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle near Central Plaza.

Omnibus - Get a vintage vantage point from this Omnibus as it tools gently on a one-way trip down Main Street, U.S.A. Modeled after a 1920 New York City double-decker, this 45-passenger bus stops in Town Square and near Sleeping Beauty Castle in Central Plaza.

Touring Tips

If you're on a time budget, skip the trolley, the horseless carriages, and the fire truck. You'll certainly get to the other end of Main Street much more quickly on foot. On the other hand, these can be fun to ride...and your kids might really enjoy doing so.

Take a ride on a horseless carriage, a replica of an early fire engine, a jitney or a horse-drawn trolley, all of which make their way up and down Main Street throughout the day. The length of your ride varies with the vehicle you take:

  • Street Cars: 3:15 minutes
  • Antique Cars: 2:28 minutes
  • Omnibus: 2:28 minutes
  • Fire Engine: 2:28 minutes

Guests must walk by themselves or be assisted by members of their party to experience this attraction.
