The ride is based on the work of the popular character Gadget Hackwrench from the 1989 Walt Disney Television Animation cartoon, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers. Gadget herself can be seen on top of a small weathervane on a building towards Chip and Dale's Tree House.

Tumble, twist and turn on this gentle rollercoaster ride created by Gadget Hackwrench, that inventive mouse from the television show, Chip n' Dale's Rescue Rangers! She has scavenged spare parts from her garage to make a ride that travels around Toon Lake in Mickey's Toontown.

Climb into one of the vibrant green "acorn pods" in a chain that makes the train and get ready to go go go! The acorn train briskly departs the workshop platform and takes you for a spin on a red tubular track. Reach speeds of up to 22 mph as you sail around Toon Lake for just under a minute. During this exhilarating trip, travel through a salvaged comb, a soup can and a spool of thread. Watch for the happy green frog sitting on a boulder who spits a stream of water arcing directly over your head!

Ride Experience

When you walk up to the front entrance, you'll see the sign for Gadget's "squirrel-made" coaster out of random items. Above the loading dock is a portrait of the rescue ranger on a postage stamp. The Go Coaster is primarily for children and therefore has very small cars. While two children can easily fit into a single car, most adults would have to travel alone (or with a small child). Guests board a train fashioned from acorns and scavenged parts.

Once on board, guests are treated to a safety spiel audio recording by Gadget herself (voiced by Tress MacNeille). Guests travel through Gadget's salvaged old comb, soup can and thread spool, and over a small lake. Near the end of the ride (the fastest turn), cartoony frogs squirt water at guests. The coaster comes to a stop and pulls into the station. Then, you all return to Toontown.

Touring Tips

  • While you wait for your acorn pod, check out the workshop of this ever-so-clever member of the Rescue Rangers team! A colorful collection of found objects makes up Gadget's amazing home where she designs all kinds of marvelous contraptions.
